Essex based life long
supporter Roger Sinden has written the contents, based upon personal
recollection and research of material in a programme collection dating
from 1948 to the present day.
"I was prompted to record
the events from the club’s formation to the present day during a
conversation with parliamentarian Tony Benn, when he was discussing
the importance of recording memories for future generations. The club
has experienced both highs and lows and this is an attempt to record
them for posterity."
Roger was
recently interviewed on BBC Southern Counties where he explained his
love of Hastings and the reason why he chose to write Hastings Reunited.

The book was unveiled at
the BBC South East Sports awards at the Brighton Metropole on 4
December 2006, where Arsenal Women’s and England Women’s Football
Captain Faye White was Roger’s special guest and received the
first copy. |

Goals galore and woolly mascots……

"Supporters were asked to contact the club if they
had unfurnished flats in order to assist the recruitment to the
town. The supporters club announced the formation of the ladies
section and they soon got to work to raise funds by knitting
woolly mascots which were to be sold at the ground on match
days....." |
The book will have a
strong appeal to supporters, players and officials both past and
present and is available from the Pilot Field on match days,
